ЛЕТНИЙ ЛАГЕРЬ 2010 Как всегда наш Летний Лагерь «Русь» был удачным. Несмотря на то, что погода не была всегда хорошей, ребята (как всегда!) были довольные, дружные и новые ребята хорошо приспособились к лагерной жизни. Лагерники занимались спортом, соревновались в «Олимпийских играх» и даже имели возможность заниматься театральной импровизацией (theatre sports) - прорграмма которую вёл Андрей Леонов. Было несколько походов по лесу до Govett’s Leap, в Porter’s Pass, Wall’s Ledge и Centennial Glen. Для ребят старше 14 лет был организован «ночной поход» через Grose Valley (прибл. 20 км). Был организован показ местных зверьков и птиц и даже был маленький крокодил. Дети с удовольствием смотрели и трогали всех животных. Экскурсия в Катумбу с организацией «National Parks and Wildlife Service» дала детям восможность узнать о местной истории, культуре аборигенов и о местной флоре и фауне. Наши экскурсоводы хвалили детей за их интерес и поведение.
Нас навестил о. Георгий, который отслужил молебны в лагере и провёл религиозную беседу со старшей группой. Также, о. Александр Корженевский совершил великое освещение воды на праздник Крещения. В этом году были и новые занятия в лагере от которых лагерники получили большое удовольствие. Мы в первый раз устроили «День Русских Традиций». Девочки мастерили кокошники, а мальчики русские щиты. К вечеру все ребята усердно лепили пельмени и сделали больше 2000! (И конечно их быстро съели на ужин!). Надежда Бянкина устроила новое очень удачное занятие « The Amazing Race».
14 января приехали Глав Нач НОВ отв рук Алексей Николаевич Селезнёв с супругой, Ириной Георгиевной. А.Н. и И.Г. Селезнёвы съездили с нами на экскурсию в Jenolan Caves.
Отв. Рук. А. Н. Селезнёв был хорошо принят детьми и начальниками. У него были хорошие взаимоотношения с детьми и мы были рады пообщаться с ним!
Спасибо Д.А. Закрочимскому выделевшему время для лагеря. Это делает мою работу легче, как начальнику лагеря, если Донат рядом посоветоваться с ним когда нужно. В этом году все начальники были опять обязательны и незаменимы в ежедневной работе лагеря. Было бы на много труднее организовывать работу лагеря без их помощи:

Андрей Лаптев SUMMER CAMP 2010 Once again Vitiaz Summer Camp “Russe” (10 January – 23 January) has been a big success! Despite occasionally rainy weather, the young campers (as always) were happy, friendly and our new campers quickly fitted into camp life. The campers played sport, competed in “Olympic Games”, and even had the opportunity to participate in “Theatre Sports”, run by Andrew Leonov. A number of bushwalks where held to Govett’s Leap, Porter’s Pass, Wall’s Ledge and Centennial Glen and those campers older than 14 years hiked an all day 20 kilometre bush walk through Grose Valley. An Australian animal show was held, where campers could see and pet a tawny frogmouth, a possum, a green tree frog and even a small crocodile! A guided tour in Katoomba with National Parks and Wildlife Service taught the campers about Blue Mountains fauna and flora and local Aboriginal culture. The Rangers running the tours were very impressed with the attitude and behavior of the Vitiazi group.
We were visited by Fr. George, who ran a religious discussion with the older campers, and Fr. Alexander Korjenevski, who held the Great Blessing of Water service for Epiphany.
This year we had a number of new activities that were greatly enjoyed by all. For the first time we held a “Russian Culture Day”. The arts and craft activities on this day involved girls making “kokoshniki” (traditional Russian headdress) and the boys designing their own Russian shields. In the afternoon everyone worked hard making pelmeni, which totaled in over 2000! (Needless to say dinner that night was eaten very quickly!) Nadejda Biankin headed “The Amazing Race”, which was a competition that involved team work, problem solving and using Russian language.
On 14th January head of the Vitiaz Association, Alexei Nikolaevich and Irina Georgievna Selezneff arrived in the Blue Mountains from France to spend a few days with the camp, which included joining us on an excursion to Jenolan Caves. Mr Selezneff was very well received by both the campers and the Vitiaz leaders. He was approachable and we all enjoyed his company. Thank you to Donat Zakroczymski for making the time to be available for camp. It is always beneficial having Donat available to confer with when in need of suggestions and assistance! Just like in previous years the leaders were motivated and invaluable to me in running the day-to-day activities. Without the following people the camp would not have been a success:

Национальная Организация Витязей в летнее время проводит работу с детьми в лагерях под общим именем «Русь», устройство которых соответствует этому названию.
В лагере дети отдыхают, набираются сил и здоровья, приучаются работать друг для друга. Сколько возможно при лагерных условиях, изучают русский язык.
Здесь, они продолжают свое воспитание и самообразование в духе русских национальных традиций, быта, культуры и обстановки. Здесь, включается и внешний порядок в соединении элементов развлечения и свободы с исполнительностью, дисциплиной и трудом. Здесь, в лагере ребёнок находится в круглосуточном контакте с педагогом.
Особенное внимание, уделяется чувству дружбы, через разные виды деятельности: игры, спорт, соревнования, прогулки, походы, экскурсии, пение, выступления, рукоделие и ознакомление с окружающей природой.
Летний лагерь даёт возможность проводить в воспитании витязьский девиз «За Русь, За Веру!». В условиях Зарубежья, лагерь является той частичкой Руси, где произносятся детские молитвы, где развивается русский трёхцветный флаг, где проводятся беседы про далёкую отчизну, где восстанавливается русская речь и где раздаётся русская песня.
Через «Русь» в странах Русского Зарубежья, прошли тысячи детей в Австралии, Аргентине и Бельгии. Десятки тысячи детей побывало в лагерях Франции. Имя «Русь» стало дорогим сердцу русских детей. Под этим именем дети в каждом лагере включаются в создание своего лагерного православного храма, под этим именем предоставляется возможность детям проявить инициативу для украшения и улучшения лагеря. Принимая участие в разнообразном труде и занятиях самодеятельности, у детей вырабатывается понятие, что этим они несут свою детскую службу России.
В австралийских условиях летний лагерь Национальной Организации Витязей «Русь» проводится в январе месяце после праздника Рождества Христова у местечка Блэкхит в красивой местности Голубых гор. К закрытию лагеря приезжают родители и гости. Они осматривают выставку рукоделий, слушают концерт и угощаются шашлыком. О том, как прошла жизнь в лагере, участники сами рассказывают в своих сочинениях. Отобранные сочинения, которые состоят из откровенных высказываний участников лагеря, преимущественно от восьми до восемнадцати лет, помещаются в сборниках.
В лагере принято мальчиков именовать витязями, а девочек вожатыми. Сам «лагерь» в множественном числе употребляется «лагери», а участники лагеря называются «лагерниками».

Camp "Russe"
During the summer time the Vitiaz Association runs recreational camps for children under the general name of “Russe”.
At camp the children rest, gain strength and health and are taught to work with one another. As much as it is possible under camp conditions, they study the Russian language.
Here, they continue their training and self-education in the spirit of the Russian national traditions, their way of life and culture. Here, in an environment of entertainment and fun, children are taught to be industriousness, through discipline and by labour. Here, in the camp the child are in twenty-four hour contact and supervision with a teacher or leader.
Special attention is given to a feeling of friendship, through different forms of activity: games, sports, competitions, bushwalks, marches, excursions, singing, theatre, needlework and the acquaintance with the surrounding natural habitat.
These Summer camps provide the opportunity to carry out education under the Vityaz''skiy motto "For Russia, for the Faith!». In the conditions of life Abroad (Zarubezh''ya), the camp represents a small part of Russia, where children pray, where they learn to respect the Russian tricoloured national flag, where they are encouraged to talk and learn about the distant past of our forefathers, where Russian speech is fostered and where is heard the Russian song.
Through the camps of "Russe" in the countries outside of Russia (Zarubezh''ya), have passed thousands of children, in Australia, Argentina and Belgium. Tens of thousands of children have visited the camps in France. The name "Russe" has become dear to the heart of Russian children. Under this name, children in each camp are included in the creation of its camp orthodox life, under this name is it possible for the children to participate in the improvement of the physical and spiritual environment that gives each child the possibility to contribute to their service to Russia.
In Australia the summer camps are held in January after our religious Christmas Feast days. The hostel is located in the village of Blackheath in the picturesque Blue Mountains, 2hrs drive west of Sydney. On the last day of camp visitors and parents arrive to inspect the handiwork of their children, listen to the choir and enjoy the concert prepared by their children. Many parents were once participants also, and this gives them the opportunity to meet up with colleagues and friends from the past. During the concert children read out their essays on their experiences during camp and after the concert everyone enjoys a sumptuous meal of shashlik.
The participants of the camp, are predominantly boys and girls from eight to eighteen years of age, who are grouped into smaller teams.
At the camp it is common to refer to the boys by the name “vitiazi” and the girls are called “vozjatiye”. Non member participants of camp are called "lagerniki".
